These upper coilover shock brackets or ShockWave upper mounts can be used as a universal upper coilover shock mount or upper (convoluted) ShockWave mount that needs be farther away from the frame (due to its larger diamter upper collar than a coilover). The upper coilover mount brackets on the left and the center feature two vertical 1/2-inch diameter mounting holes to the chassis rails and a 1/2-inch bolt to hold the coilover. one is 1 5/8-inches and the other is 2 1/4-inches from the rear to the bolt-hole centerline. These two brackets can be flipped 180-degrees for another inch of adjustment as well. The bracket on the right is our '53-62 Corvette upper rear coilover mounting bracket. We install this 5/8" - 18 x 1" bolt into the bracket through the existing upper crossmember shock-mount hole on a stock '53-62 frame when installing our rear end kit. It works great as a universal upper crossmember mounting bracket by simply drilling a 5/8" mounting hole, when installing rear coilover shocks on most chassis. Or fabricate a weld-on bracket to accept the 5/8-inch diameter single mounting hole. All three brackets with their 1/2-inch mounting bolts are compatible with either coilover shocks or ShockWave air spring units with poly-bushed mounting holes.
