Now you can up-grade any First-Generation 1953-62 Corvette with our direct-replacement mandrel-bent 2x4 box-tube chassis. The standard chassis package is available with any engine and trans mounts, core support, body mounts and bumper-bracket mounts all in their stock location.
The IFS, which available as a separate bolt-in unit for stock chassis, features 7/8-inch X .156-inch wall upper A-arms, 1-inch X .156-inch wall lower A-arms. We use stock GM 1967 - 1969 Camaro spindles, with stock 11-inch rotors, calipers, and balljoints. The new "quick-turn" Flaming River rack-and-pinion steering unit features 3-turns lock-to-lock. The fully adjustable front suspension utilizes aluminum adjustable coilover shocks that connect to a multi-hole adjustable upper attachment point for about 3 inches of stance adjustment and 2-position lower A-arm coilover mount to give you the stance you want!
The 2 X 4 X .120-inch wall box-tube chassis features a 2 X 4 X .188-inch wall front crossmember with 1 ½-inch X .120-inch wall tubular offset upper-and-lower X-members designed for up to a 3-inch exhaust system.
The rear adjustable 4-link control arms and Panhard bar, mounted in urethane bushins, feature 1-inch X .156-inch wall seamless steel tube. The standard package includes aluminum adjustable coilover shocks that have a 3-position lower housing mount for your favorite ride height.
Optional features include 11-inch GM front brakes, Wilwood 13-inch front-or-rear super stoppers, 1-inch diameter front sway bar, Air Ride Technologies ShockWave air springs (shown) and tubbed rear frame. If you're using a stock column with our IFS, you'll need our optional lower column modification kit or the best policy is to use a new ididit column. We also offer an optional dual chamber master cylinder kit with proportioning valve and new stainless braided front brake lines.
