1955-57 CHEVY BOLT-IN IFS KIT
This jig-built bolt-in IFS, utilizing all stock GM parts that bolt to existing stock ’55-57 holes, could be installed by your wife in a weekend using only hand tools! With no cutting, grinding or welding, this EASY bolt-in kit will give you the disc brakes, handling, and smooth rack-and-pinion steering you’ve always wanted, while keeping the same SB rear-sump oil pan, and same wheel bolt-pattern. The 1-inch narrower track-width kit features 1-inch OD X .156-inch wall D.O.M. tubular A-arms utilizing ’70-81 Camaro spindle, balljoints, 11-inch rotors, ’84-92 Buick rack-and-pinion power steering, heavy-duty aluminum coilover shocks with powder-coated springs and complete instructions your wife can follow! This kit lowers your car 2-inches! Available options include 1-inch diameter sway bar, 12-inch diameter GM brakes, 2-inch dropped spindles (for a 4-inch drop), master-cylinder kit, ididit column with steering hook-up kit.
If you'd like to improve your old `55-7 Chevy steering box with rack-and-pinion steering, we have a steering-improvement "Econo Kit" that bolts to existing factory holes! This kit will add either manual or power rack-and-pinion steering to your classic Chevy! The bolt-on kit includes either power or manual rack and rack mounts, two 1-inch od tubular lower A-arms, two A-arm adapter plates, two steering arms, and two lower pivot-shafts and instructions.
The "Econo Kit" retains the stock spindles and original `55-57 balljoints, allowing you the option of using after market 2-inch dropped spindles or stock spindles.
